Let me take a few minutes to introduce myself in case you don&#8217;t know me!  I&#8217;ve been writing online for more than a decade, working at sites like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gizmodo.co.uk\/author\/kelly-hodgkins\">Gizmodo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/about\/editors\/kelly-hodgkins\/\">TUAW<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bgr.com\/author\/kelly-hodgkins\/\">BGR<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltrends.com\/\">Digital Trends<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenbelly.co\">Greenbelly<\/a>. Tired of the grind, I took a break from writing professionally in 2023.  I am currently producing content on my own &#8212; writing, reviewing gear and exploring a new-found interest in photography. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Living near the White Mountains of NH and the Mahoosuc Mountains of Maine, I am backpacking, hiking and trail running any chance I can get. And with a background in science and technology, I bring a digital know-how to my backcountry adventures. Recently I backpacked the John Muir Trail in California, ran a 100K in a 24-hour trail race, and completed the NYC Marathon. This year I plan to tackle my first 100-mile race and will travel to Colorado to hike the western portion of the Collegiate loop.
